Day 3
a better day in places
First the good news - got some exercise and mainly not too much food.
No real games - but did spend half an hour on the treadmill walking at 4kmh playing GTA5 on PS3.
The bad bits
Well some conflict at work - very poor SOW that I am trying to deliver and the cusotmer is sqirming trying not to pay for stuff. I can see their point
The very bad bits
I don't earn enough money - I have over extended myself with this house move - thats the truth but its not helped by accountants who can't get the numbers right. £6.5k tax bill coming in May - which I don't have. Maybe I have 1-2k right now so have to work out a way to save 1k a month. I just hope that its only 6.5k
Decided that I have to sell the majority of the toy soldiers - its not as if I ever get to play with them. First batch going to go on ebay must be worth £400. The total should be enough to cover the tax bill but it hurts.
Better perspective over last few days about what is important. Being in the great house with the great garden and my wife and daughter more important that the right badge and toys on the car so that is going to change.
Over all a good day I think - not sure if anyone is reading this but thats not the point.

Day 2
Yesterday I was out the office visiting a customer all day. It was a very long day leaving home about 9am and getting home at 9pm. Seven of those hours in the car.
So no opportunity to spend any time playing games. However I face two challenges when I have a day out like yesterday.
Service station Fruit Machines - I kid myself that I do well out of these - yes I have had a few occasions where I have walked out £80 or more up but those you remember - you forget about the times where you put £30 in and walked away.
So the good news is no money in the machines yesterday - first time for a long time on a long drive
The second challenge is food. I think all of this is related - its too easy to buy crap and eat it while on the road. Not sure how to address this in full but I hope writing about it will help
Yesterday after leaving home
Double sausage and egg mcmuffin
3 packets of salt square crisps
two danish pastries
six welsh cakes
1 packed of extra strong mints
1 sandwich
that looks a lot but actually compared to some drives in the past its not too bad
but I need to address it
No exercise yesterday but did do about 7k steps which isn't bad for a day on the road.

Day 1
I am 40 years old and have wasted half a life time playing computer games.
I came to the decision today to stop. Cold turkey I think is the only way to go. I tried this before but maybe writing about it will help
Before I delete steam from my PC here are the numbers
Blood Bowl 86 Hours
Borderlands 2 141 Hours
Bully 4 Hours
Call of Duty 11 Hours
Crysis 2 20 Hours
Empire Total War 76 hours
Football Manager 2010 527 Hours
FM 2011 400 Hours
FM2012 428 Hours
FM 2013 628 Hours
FM 2014 263 Hours
GTA 4 36 Hours
Civ V 1148 Hours
Supcommander 41 Hours
X-Com TFD 45 Hours
So that's from Steam but there were others.
It also doesn't include anything on the mobile phone, PS3 or Wii
Now why do I need to do this....... Well family, wife and child aren't getting the attention they deserve and I don't spend the time doing the things I want.
I also neglect work and other important things.
So now Steam is about to be deleted from my PC along with Origin for Sim City.
Ok all deleted so aim for the Day
Walk on running machine for half an hour
Start program for press ups.
No mobile phone in the house
